Call for contributions: Survey to develop the African Court 2026-2028 Strategic Plan

The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights plays a pivotal role in safeguarding human rights across the continent. With over 400 decisions, it has profoundly shaped jurisprudence on critical issues such as the protection of indigenous communities, environmental rights, electoral integrity, freedom of expression and the right to a fair trial. Its influence has extended to national legal systems, where landmark decisions have been cited by domestic courts and have inspired new human rights laws in various AU Member States.

As the African Court develops its Strategic Plan for 2026-2028, your insights are crucial. This survey seeks your perspectives on its future priorities to enhance its processes, outreach and overall effectiveness. We urge you to participate and help shape a more accessible and impactful African Court, truly embodying an "African Solution to African Problems".
